About Us

Lock It Up was started in 2001 as a part–time venture. At the time, the owner, Brian Kessler, was employed as a firefighter in Lynchburg Virginia. Working 24 hours on shift with 48 hours off between shifts allowed him plenty of time to start and grow the business.

In 2003 Brian got married and moved to his wife’s home town of Leesburg, Florida where they live today with their two young sons. At that time, locksmithing became Brian’s full-time career.

Lock It Up started with one man, a pickup truck and a vision for the future. After 6 months the owner purchased his first service van. That van is still in service today. Lock It Up currently has two vans, one full-time employee, and three part-time employees.

Lock It Up serves a large area of Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties, but we have customers in other areas which include Winter Garden, Clermont, Ocala, and even Virginia! Our primary service area includes Leesburg, Fruitland Park, The Villages, Summerfield, Oxford, Wildwood, Tavares, Eustis, Umatilla, Mount Dora, Howey in the Hills, and surrounding areas. We are a full-service, mobile locksmith company. We come to you, so stay at home, relax, and allow us to take care of you!
